Juana Molina’s hypnotic grooves come alive with rhythms punctuated with coos and sighs, handclaps and murmurs.

Delicate and worldly, her maverick style is an original blend of folk-ish acoustic sounds, ambient electronic beats and irresistibly warm, expressive vocals. Her new album, Un Dia, brings this all to the table, propelled by elevated new rhythmic forces and more abstract, truly joyous “pop” flourishes.

Segundo won Molina international attention, and the title of Entertainment Weekly’s 2003 Best World Music Album, and Tres Cosas featured in The New York Times' Top Ten records of 2004.

Please note: There is no support act for this show and Juana Molina will be on stage at 5.30pm sharp on January 30-31 and 7pm sharp on Febrary 1.

JUANA MOLINA stands out from the crowd. She is not to be missed. I can not believe she is coming to Sydney, that is something great. I was a fan of her when she was a comedian actress, she was different, with acid but at the same time naif sense of humour, I loved her. When she began her music carreer a friend give me a CD from her, I really enjoyed it and little by little I fall in love with her music. She has the ability of transforming the fragile into something strong and solid, she takes risks, she is authentic, she walks the unknown roads finding later her way and her ART. I identify myself with her spirit and way of seeing the world and so I dont feel alone in this world. Having Juana in Sydney is a real surprise, a gift. Gracias totales jua jua juana! (1 Feb)
