Reggie Watts shakes new meaning into what you can do with a microphone and a loop machine.

Exploiting a jaw-dropping ten-octave vocal range, he creates funky bass lines and soulful diva-esque vocals to underpin hilarious, off-the cuff riffs on everything from ancient history and technology, science and racism, to theology and pop culture.

Channeling over 300 characters, his mix of improvised music, absurd comedy and visceral social commentary makes him one-of-a-kind.

Please note: There is no support act for this show and Reggie Watts will be on stage at 9.30pm sharp.

That's impossible. A human being simply cannot have a 10 octave range. A voice like that would have to go lower than a piano, and higher than a piano because a piano only has a 7 octave range. From looking at some of his videos, I with my 3 octave range, am able to sing everything I've heard him sing. So either I'm missing something, or the statement that he has a 10 octave vocal range is either wrong because of ignorance or an outright lie. He looks pretty cool though.

Lachlan, I believe the 10 octave range is a joke. A funny one at that.

I had the pleasure of seeing Reggie last night and would have to say it was one of the best live performances i have ever seen. Although i could see how the slightly conservative public could miss the point. You should check it out Lacglan :)

My GOD lachlan, I can't believe you would write all that about his octaves simply so you could slip that bit in about your own vocal prowess. I doubt anyone is impressed or even cares. I guess the stupid and self-involved must lose out on a funny bone hey?

Saw Reggie last night and it was my highlight of Sydney Fest so far. Frigging incredible. I'd seen youtube video's of him, but nothing can prepare you for the genius of this singing, beatboxing, multi-charactor actor and performer. One of the most unique shows I've ever seen, one of the shows of my life. Don't miss Reggie. He'll blow your mind. My cheeks still hurt from laughing so hard.

Saw Reggie the other night. W O W ! Hilariously funny - sheer brilliance. He takes nothing too seriously, particularly not himself. Some prudes chose to walk, but my cheeks still hurt too. What did he do to us?!?!?

Wow, ironic that Lachlan, a trained vocalist, is probably wishing he'd kept his mouth shut. Talk about getting hammered! Be nice, people, we can all get along...

Woh! A flow-of-consciousness rapping Robin Williams meets Spike Milligan meets Donny Hathaway meets Donny Darko. Warning - genius at work.
